Normally, at this time of the month, most people that participate in NaNoWriMo start to feel a lag in the process of writing their 50,000 word novels. I am no different.
I feel like, at least for me, since I generally write by the seat of my pants during NaNoWriMo, I don’t ever plan anything out, and the story sort of evolves naturally as I go. As such, things can tend to get clogged up sometime around week two.
This year began the same way. I got an idea in the last couple days of October, jotted the idea down, and waited for November to begin. Week One went smoothly as I was high on the novelty of the idea. Week Two started to lag as it usually does.
But then.
A seemingly random chain of events came together, and the inspiration of the main plot opened up to me.
Now, my word count is 20,074 words, my heroes have started making good (and some bad) use of their abilities, and I am perfectly on track to make the goal of 50,000 by the end of the month.
Another update to come next week!
